Welcome to Haveli Hauz Khas! We are a boutique homestay in South Delhi, a heritage mansion in centrally located Hauz Khas Enclave

Hauz Khas is a quiet, tree lined residential area, safe for women travelers & families and one of the most pleasant neighbourhoods of Delhi. All major tourist sites and monuments are close by, like the Hauz Khas village, Qutab complex, Mehrauli archaeological park, Safdarjang and Humayun's tomb. We have easy access to the airport, major roads and are on the yellow & magenta metro lines, covering the most visited areas of Delhi.

The nearby Hauz Khas Village is a charming heritage site with pond facing tombs and religious monuments dating back to the 14th century. The old is juxtaposed with the new and it is home to independent fashion boutiques, arts galleries, eclectic nightlife and some of the trendiest restaurants and cafes of Delhi, hosting live events on weekends - ranging from stand-up comedy to live jazz. Haveli Hauz Khas is walking distance to both - the Hauz Khas Village as well as the Hauz Khas & IIT Metro stations. We are centrally located yet away from the bustle of Delhi!

Your hosts

After retiring from the Indian Administrative Service, my wife and I (Neelu & Teji) together opened a boutique bed and breakfast in my home - a heritage mansion in Hauz Khas Enclave. We are heritage aficionados and have written books on Indian history/architecture and travel.

Haveli is designed with Indian heritage as the main theme - with photographs, lithographs, canvases, carved wood, traditional textiles and hand-woven durries. The rooms and the common areas are on the heritage themes of Ajanta, Hampi, Banni, Kama and Neem. All the numerous photographs in Haveli have been taken by us and guests are free to browse through our extensive and rare book & handicrafts collection.
